SYNOPSIS

In that mechanical movement which is sometimes provincial life, Marco and Silvia, a young couple with two children – Sonia and Davis - a dog and an iguana, do not seem to follow the rules that normal living requires. So much love and a work in a factory as machine operator are not enough for Marco Battaglia to assure confidence to Silvia, who cannot get rid of the pressing judgment of her mother. The latter, with persistence and a sharp strategy, will succeed in obtaining that little Sofia is assigned to her. The separation of the group brings about a series of ruptures: it upsets the habits, provokes alieniation, undermines the reciprocal trust. But the route for Battaglias, even if difficult is settled: in spite of the many mistakes, the two succeed in meet again.

VALENTINA CERVI

Niece to great Gino, “more an emotional reference than an artistical one”, after studying acting with Beatrice Bracco, she reveals at the cinema in Ritratto di Signora, with Nicole Kidman and John Malkovich, soon proving to be an actrees of international range. After having established her carreer in Artemisia, she engages different roles ranging from comedy, to grotesque, to intimism. In 1999 he shoots a spot-tribute to Fellini, directed by F. F. Coppola, and La via degli angeli by P. Avati, which for which she obtains a nomination to Nastri d’Argento. She makes her début at theatre with the famous Perversioni sessuali a Chicago by Mamet, with Luca Zingaretti. In the following years she plays both leading roles and precious cameo roles, choosing the most interesting authors for the research on image.
